Primary Responsibilities:
Individual placements will have role specific responsibilities that will typically include some of the activities below:
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
Identifying problems and contributing to their resolution by resolving or escalating as appropriate
Assists with data accumulation in preparation for functional processes (finance, maketing, IT, etc.)
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Nature of the work:
Assistance with developing and deploying a brand new learning management system, Oracle Learning Cloud, to all Xerox employees, contract workers, and partners (100K ).
Here are some of the areas of potential contributions
  • Testing
  • a. Validating new functionality when available
    b. Performing regression testing on previously validated functions on new builds
    c. Participating in test events/pilots
  • Development
  • a. Reports creating Learning reports that replace reports in the current learning management system
    b. Help Site update the HTML5 and responsive web design (RWD) site to align with supporting the new learning management system
    c. Portal update content on the learning portal as appropriate for the launch of the new learning management system
    d. Documentation develop documentation for learners, learner managers, and learning administrators
    e. Videos develop videos for change management activities
  • Support
  • a. Creating standard operating procedures for the new help desk personnel to support the new learning management system
    b. Researching issues in any area of testing or development they have been involved in

    Candidate Education:
    Minimum High School Diploma/(GED)/Secondary School GCSE or equivalent
    Preferred Associate Degree/In pursuit of Bachelor Degree
    Candidate Background:
    Minimum A strong team ethic with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in large and small teams.
    Minimum Good organizational skills with an analytical approach to problem solving and some knowledge/awareness of project planning
    Minimum Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) as well as Intranet and Internet for research purposes.
    Minimum The motivation, drive and initiative to develop new skills, get involved in new pieces of work, display enthusiasm and be able to work hard with or without supervision.
    Minimum Good verbal, numerical and analytical skills with the ability to see the bigger picture as well as the detail, whether analysing data, processes or ways of working.
    Minimum The ability to obtain and effectively use information, including the ability to identify the information needed, seek the information from a variety of sources, and skillfully extract and report the information for business benefit
    Minimum Must meet regionally specific academic requirements for Intern/Industrial Placement program
